In the spring of 2018, we were gifted a property in the heart of downtown Santa Rosa that included a beautiful, historic Chapel and an Annex
building/Parsonage that was in disuse due to damage incurred from an arson fire in 2011. God's provision is AMAZING! We have been so very blessed to gather at what we lovingly refer to as 'The Chapel on Cherry' for the past 5 years now and feel as though God is just getting started!
With the Annex being extensively damaged by fire, we have been unable to utilize this building; though it has not stopped us from planning & dreaming. We have been working diligently to raise the necessary funds for the rebuild of the Annex while also working with the Cultural Heritage Board, Engineers, Architects, and the City of Santa Rosa Permit Department as we move towards our goal of bringing this building back to life and being a blessing to the neighborhood we gather in weekly. Once finished, the Annex building will house classrooms for our Children's Ministry, office space for the Living Roots staff and other para-church organizations, a kitchen we hope to use for homeless ministries, Nomadic Shelter, and a disaster relief center, parsonage housing, and an additional ADU for affordable living to help with the housing in
our area.
Our hope is to raise at least 50% of the remaining funds needed in order to begin breaking ground on the project this year!
As we continue to pursue the restoration of this building, we fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfector of our faith. We trust in
His great timing and provision with this project! Whether it is the funds that will be miraculously raised or the people God will bring
to help make this rebuild happen, we know that He will provide.
